IAT is active since 1991 as engineering service provider in the areas of development and research for the passive safety of automobiles.
IAT is independent and in private property of the four partners Harald Morres, Dirk Vetter, Prof. Volker Schindler and Thomas Deter,
holding 25% each. In IAT, 24 employees (16 of them engineers) obtain about two million € annual turnover.
As cooperation partner of the Technical University of Berlin IAT cooperates in different areas with the university. Thus the resources of
the University of Technology as well as current research knowledge are available. On the other side, through IAT know-how the education of the students can be formed practically-oriented. Test
facilities of the Technical University of Berlin can be held up-to-date by performing industrial projects.
As engineering service provider, IAT is active in the following areas:

Development and design of testing devices and testing components, e.g. moveable barriers and sleds.

Development of software for evaluation of crash test data and control of test facilities

Crash Testing with complete vehicles or components using the testing facilities of Berlin Technical University.

Numerical simulations within the area of passive safety. We are using MADYMO, PAM-SAFE and LS-DYNA for occupant and structural
simulations.
